Michele York and her business partner, Brian Bonneau, are the owners of Nostalgia, a sports bar dining a 30-foot bar, and dining area to accommodate 60 people.
Many area residents will be familiar with the pair, who grew up in Cromwell and graduated Cromwell High School in 1990. Bonneau owned a bar in town, called the Well, for 15 years. Bonneau closed that business to open Nostalgia with York.
York was the chef for over 20 years at Zerios, an Italian restaurant and deli, and she was a partner in Rustic Pizza in Middletown.
The restaurant has a capacity to seat 60 people, and, in addition to pizza, will offer grinders, Italian dishes, burgers, wraps, appetizers, salads and specials.
My husband and I ordered pizza last night and I have to say that it was awesome. It was the best that we have had in some time. We definitely will be coming back soon. great job!
Decided to try something new and it didn’t disappoint! Pizza and service were great
Stopped in on the first night they opened. It was busy, but my food came out really fast. Pizza, boneless wings, salad and garlic bread were all excellent, and my picky eater of a son loved it, too! Cannot wait to see the place develop over the next month or so and come back for a sit down experience!
We tried Nostalgia for the first time the other night. Dinner was excellent and the desserts were too. Everyone was very friendly. We will definitely be going back.
